Ray enters his 1st season as the Offensive Coordinator / Strength and Conditioning Coach at Montgomery County High School. Previously he was the Offensive Coordinator at George Rogers Clark High School. Ray attended Morehead State University and earned a Special Education (LBD) / Middle Grades Social Studies (5-9) degree. He was a All State Honorable Mention his senior year of high school and went straight into coaching following high school.

Ray is a Prestonsburg, Ky. native but currently resides in Winchester, Ky. with his wife Catherine.
