J. Ray enters his 1st season as the Assistant Head Coach / Offensive Coordinator / Strength and Conditioning Coordinator at Montgomery County High School. Previously he was the Offensive Coordinator at George Rogers Clark High School. Ray attended Morehead State University and earned a Special Education (LBD) / Middle Grades Social Studies (5-9) degree. He was a All State Honorable Mention his senior year of high school and went straight into coaching following high school. As a position coach, Ray coached 4 All-State Honorable Mention Offensive Linemen, 1 Max Preps Small School All-American, and trained numerous collegiate Offensive Linemen.

Ray is a Prestonsburg, Ky. native and currently resides in Mt. Sterling, Ky. with his wife Catie.
